Karina Perez Molina

Karina Perez is the Director for Unmanned and Emerging Aviation Technologies at the Aerospace Industries Association. In this role, she works with AIA’s members regarding Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Urban Mobility, and Spectrum among other areas, and works to find industry consensus on complex issues facing the aviation industry.

Karina is also the Co-Founder of Zed Factor Fellowship, an organization focused on providing internships to underrepresented communities in the aerospace industry.

Karina has represented the industry at multiple conferences including #SXSW, Humans to Mars Summit, Escape Velocity, among others. ⁣

Karina served as Manager for SGx #Satellite, a one-day conference for young professionals and students, under the NGO Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).⁣

Before joining AIA, Karina was a public policy intern with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic Development where she focused on aerospace and STEM initiatives for women and the economic impact of the Los Angeles Air Force Base. Karina joined SGAC in April of 2017 while completing an internship with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.

Outside of the aerospace industry, Karina has hosted over 18 panels and talks throughout Southern California on pop culture, politics, and diversity.

Karina holds a B.A. in Political Science, Public Policy and Management from California State University, Northridge.
